Dr Paul Tipton

B.D.S., M.Sc., D.G.D.P., UK, Specialist in Prosthodontics

Our Clinical Lead Dr. Paul Tipton B.D.S., M.Sc., D.G.D.P., UK, Specialist in Prosthodontics has been recognised as the country’s top Prosthodontist (the dental specialty involving cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry). He featured in the Top 10 most influential dentists in the UK in a poll of UK dentists (Dentistry Magazine 2006).

A founding member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BAAD) and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) where he is on the board of Directors, Dr Tipton regularly writes articles for dental press and lectures throughout the UK, Europe and North America.

Dr Amit Patel

Specialist in Periodontics

Amit Patel is a Specialist in Periodontics who graduated from the University of Liverpool and completed a 4 year specialist training programme in Periodontics at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Dental Institute. Amit is also an Associate Specialist in Periodontics and an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University Of Birmingham Dental School.

Amit practises at Grace House Specialist Dental Centre in Birmingham. His special interests are dental implants, regenerative and aesthetic Periodontics. Amit has considerable experience in most of the mainstream implant systems, including Straumann, Biohorizons, Astra and 3i dental implants.

Dr Andrew McCance

Andrew McCance graduated from Glasgow University having studied Dental Surgery. He then went on to do a Fellowship in Dental Surgery and a Masters in Orthodontics, a Diploma in Orthodontics, a Doctorate in Philosophy and a membership in Orthodontics through UMDS at Guys and St Thomas's Hospitals.
Dr McCance is one of the UK's leading specialist orthodontists with over 30 years of clinical and surgical experience with thousands of satisfied patients. He has intensively studied the science of facial beauty and the 3D facial effects of surgery for 30 years. He has researched and identified the best treatments available in facial aesthetics and has completed advanced training in all aspects of this field.

Dr Andrew Watson

B.D.S. MSc M.R.D. M.F.G.D.P.
Practice Limited to Endodontics

Dr. Andrew Watson, specialist in Endodontics qualified as a dentist in 1974 at King’s College London before returning to university in the late eighties to study a Masters degree and the Membership in Restorative Dentistry of the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Watson was a senior dental officer to National Power PLC and spent nearly 20 years running his own general and specialist referral practice in Wiltshire. A General Dental Council recognised specialist, he has been in referral Endodontics practice since 1990.

With an ongoing commitment to postgraduate teaching and professional development and is an active member of numerous professional groups including the British and European Endodontics Societies.

Dr Dimitrios Mitsas

DMD MClinDent Periodontology

Dr. Mitsas undertook 3 years of postgraduate training at the University of Sheffield where he gained a Master of Clinical Dentistry degree in periodontology. 

He is an active member of the British Society of Periodontology and he has a special interest in microsurgical techniques. 

Dr Eugene Marais

BChD

Dr Eugene Marais qualified at the University of Pretoria in 1988. He moved to East London where he worked as an NHS associate until 1992, when he bought his own practice in Hornchurch, Essex.  

In 1994 Eugene embarked on the implant bandwagon, firstly completing the Misch Implant Institute’s (MII) prosthetic course in Michigan, USA and then the MII surgical course in 1995 in Pittsburgh, USA. Shortly after he completed the MII advanced bonegrafting course, to include ridge augmentation and sinus lifts. To date, he has placed about 3000 implants and performed 350 sinuslifts.
 
Having successfully negotiated the fellowship exam in 2000, he became a fellow of the MII. Biohorizons implant company then appointed him as their Clinical Director in the UK, and partner in the UK distributorship. 
 
Since 2004 he has run 6-day surgical courses in the UK, with the help of the University of Alabama, USA, where he holds the title of visiting professor in the implant faculty. In 2008 he was invited by the Indian Implant association to be keynote speaker at their annual symposium, where he delivered a lecture on narrow diameter implants. In 2009 I was awarded Diplomate status of the ICOI, the largest international implant forum.

Dr Gȍran Urde

Dr Gȍran Urde D.D.S
Dr Gȍran Urde received his dental degree from the Faculty of Odontology, Karolinska Institute in Stockholm in 1979. He has held departmental positions at the Karolinska Institute, the University of Gothenburg, Eastman Dental Hospital in London, and the United Medical & Dental Schools of Guy’s & St. Thomas Hospitals, London.
Dr. Urde has held a variety of positions with Nobel Biocare throughout Europe, including System Specialist, Manager of Clinical & Scientific Support, Market Director and Manager of Professional Support.
Dr. Urde has lectured and published extensively on dental implants and practice management. He is currently on staff as a Prosthodontist at the Copenhagen Implant Centre, and maintains a private practice in Copenhagen.

Dr Ian Hutchinson

Ian Hutchinson B.D.S MSc M.Orth.RCSEd FDSRCSEd Specialist in Orthodontics
Dr Ian Hutchinson, a Specialist in Orthodontics, graduated in 1991 from the University of Newcastle and then worked in many District General and Dental Hospitals. In 1994 he completed a Fellowship of Dental Surgery in Edinburgh. He also undertook his specialist Orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital, becoming a Master of Science in 1999, having become a Master of Orthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh the previous year.

Ian is Clinical Director of Lingual Orthodontics at Warwick Medical School as well as the owner of The Smile Lounge. He is also a British Lingual Orthodontic Society as well as member

Dr John Besford

B.D.S PhD Specialist in Prosthodontics
Dr John Besford qualified as a dentist in 1964 from Manchester University. In 1970 he obtained a PhD in Bacteriology and on his return to dentistry he went to teach at London University, in 1987 opened a referral practice limited to removable and implant Prosthodontics, in which he is a Specialist.
He divides his time between his practice and international freelance postgraduate teaching. Dr Besford’s goals in working with patients is to rekindle their feelings of attractiveness and self-esteem, by painstakingly recreating their own individual dental appearances using photographic and other personal records. 
Dr Besford co-designed the Enigma Denture Teeth and Denture System, which won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category in 2004.

Dr Monik Vasant

 BChD

Monik Vasant graduated from Leeds University in 2003. Since then he has completed a 2 year long postgraduate course in advanced restorative dentistry from Tipton Training and now he is Clinical Director and Senior Partner of Fresh Dental.
He has a keen interest in cosmetic and advanced dentistry and he is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He also has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, Botox and teeth whitening. He is currently one of two dentists in the North West qualified to assess and fit the OSO athletic enhancer which is proven to improve athletic performance.

Dr Sanjay Sethi

B.D.S (Lond.)
Dr Sanjay Sethi graduated from Guy’s Hospital in 1993 and is now the Principal at Square Mile Dental Centre in London. Sanjay has a special interest in aesthetics in dentistry as well as implants.
Dr Sethi is an International Lecturer and has founded and coordinates the London Dentology Study Club. He is a full member and the current scientific chairman for the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and he is also a member of the BDA, ADI and an affiliate member of the EAED.

Dr. Spencer Woolfe

LDS, RCSI, MSc UCLA Periodontics

Dr. Woolfe returned to Dublin having obtained his speciality degrees at the University of Los Angeles, California. He has maintained a clinical practice in periodontology and implant dentistry as well as holding an academic position on the faculty of dentistry at Trinity College School of Dentistry.

He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally and has made contributions to dental literature. As well as teaching undergraduate and post graduate dental students he has run a successful study group for general dentistry since 1982.
