New this Summer
Tipton Training now provides an MJDF (Part 1) and MFDS (Part 2) preparation course. It helps prepare delegates for the exams that lead to each qualification. If you’re set to take these examinations, this course is likely to prove useful.
Why Do These Qualifications Matter?
Both the MJDF and MFDS are basic benchmark UK dental qualifications after graduation. They are required for dentists that plan to start hospital-based posts, speciality training, or some Masters programmes.
What is the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF)?
The MJDF assesses the “knowledge, application of knowledge and candidates’ understanding of the structures and processes required to provide quality-assured dental healthcare after completion of a two-year foundation programme”.

What is the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS)?
The MFDS assesses “the acquisition of knowledge, understanding and clinical competence that will have been obtained during Dental Foundation Training. It marks a level of achievement above and beyond the primary dental qualification and clearly exhibits an early commitment to professional development.”
