Both the MJDF and MFDS are basic benchmark UK dental qualifications after graduation. They are required for dentists that plan to start hospital-based posts, speciality training, or some Masters programmes.

What Is he Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF)?

The MJDF assesses the “knowledge, application of knowledge and candidates’ understanding of the structures and processes required to provide quality-assured dental healthcare after completion of a two-year foundation programme”.

What is the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS)

The MFDS assesses “the acquisition of knowledge, understanding and clinical competence that will have been obtained during Dental Foundation Training.
