Tipton Training’s Certificates (Level 7 & Non-Level 7)
Having trained dentists in the UK and Internationally for over 30 years, we have an appreciation of how good quality education can improve the quality of treatments delivered to patients, and thus improve the job satisfaction of dentists. This alone has strengthened the belief in our courses and makes us even more determined in delivering high quality dental education.
Dentistry is an ever-changing profession. With this in mind, we are always developing our courses to ensure we are delivering a course with the latest scientific research and clinical skills. Our knowledgeable and well-respected faculty ensure that our delegates receive the most advanced and up to date education available.
All of Tipton Training Academy courses are approved Level 7 qualifications, accredited by EduQual, a UK appointed education body for those who wish an academic qualification.
What is a Level 7 Course?
As a forefront figure in dental education, and a responsible training organisation, we made the deliberate decision in 2016, guided by the best interests of our delegates, to go above and beyond by establishing our courses to be Level 7 Vocational Qualifications. A Level 7 course is a master’s level course and attaining such qualification allows you to put the post nominals after your name, but only if Level 7!< To gain this accreditation, we went through an extensive approval process with EduQual, an established UK Awarding body offering a range of qualifications that have been credit-rated for the SCQF by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). We were the first private dental training institution to achieve this level of accreditation in 2017.
Whilst the dental industry has several private training organisations offering Level 7 Certificates & Level 7 Diplomas, the vast majority are not accredited by established UK awarding bodies.
It is due to this independent review and quality assurance that delegates can rest assured that they are getting the best quality education and Enhanced CPD’s on our courses. We can guarantee credibility, qualification status and value for our delegates.
About Our Level 7 Certificates:
A Level 7 Certificate course has multiple units (usually between 4 to 6) and are usually completed within a year. Each unit has specific learning outcomes which are assessed regularly through multiple choice questionnaires, reflective write-ups and structured feedback on hands-on work.
Tipton Training’s courses are designed to meet the four learning outcomes set out by the GDC. While our courses enhance clinical skills, they also support development in other areas such as effective communication with patients, dental teams and obtaining consent.
Upon completion of a Level 7 Certificate course and the assessments involved, delegates will receive a Level 7 Certificate awarded by EduQual and accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
The learning outcomes will also be evidenced by a transcript including the units covered and the credits awarded for each unit.
Non-Level 7 Certificates:
All our Certificate courses are also available as Non-Level 7 options. If you do not wish to pursue a Level 7 Qualification, you can still enroll in our courses without participating in the assessments. In this case, you will receive a Tipton Training Academy Certificate but you will not receive an EduQual accredited qualification.
