Tipton Star Hoping To Brush Aside Competition

dougwattA former delegate who was named as the ‘Practical Restorative Dentist of the Year’ by Tipton Training has been nominated for yet another prestigious dentistry award.

Doug Watt, who completed Tipton Training’s two year restorative dentistry course in 2009, has a chance to win the ‘Best Young Dentist’ award in this year’s Dentistry Awards.

With a particular interest in endodontics, restorative dentistry and implants, the 34-year-old has enjoyed a terrific career since his time at Tipton Training. He now lives in Stratford-upon-Avon with his wife and two children and is a partner at Euston Palace Dental Practice.

Speaking of his nomination, Doug said: “I’m thrilled to be nominated for this award. I’ve worked incredibly hard throughout my career to stay at the forefront of the industry and achieve success, so it’s fantastic to have my work recognised in this way.

“My time at Tipton Training really instilled the values of excellence, which is so important in a profession such as dentistry. This preparation has provided an excellent foundation for me to go on and achieve in my career.”

Dr Paul Tipton, founder of Tipton Training, said: “We’re exceptionally proud of Doug’s achievements here at Tipton Training. He was a fantastic student who applied himself diligently during his time with us. We’ll be crossing our fingers for him ahead of the awards!”
